Can T See Notes in Piano Roll Logic

Logic 10.4.7 Piano Roll super Buggy
Are fellow GSers using Logic not finding the Piano roll super buggy? It's also like it's being completely ignored through so many updates
The software is just so buggy in some places and in cases getting worse after each update
I don't see people talking about this very evident and annoying issues so are people just not doing much with Piano Roll or is Logic use dwindling? I wouldn't have thought either were true
1) The main one is that the Catch Playhead feature automatically activating itself when clicking notes in the piano roll or the piano roll background
So when using the "Play from left window edge" to audition a section and then moving notes or changing velocities, the catch playhead button could activate at any time, this sometimes happens as the playhead passes the right edge and makes the view shift to follow playhead, and the change I was trying to make didn't change VERY annoying!!
2) When shortening a Midi Region's left boundary, the notes outside the new boundaries are not ignored
See screen shot: Midi Region Boundaries
3) Rendering issues, not showing your region selection, so mute or unmute a region then double click to open the piano roll, the Piano Roll won't render it properly
See screen shot: Region Rendering in Piano Roll
4) Undo doesn't undo Muting of Midi notes; instead if you undo a mute, it will undo the Mute AND the previous step
5) Sometimes when copying notes in the piano roll, it will automatically make the region longer, the copied notes aren't even outside the region boundary

I struggle to see how others aren't coming across these if they're using the main window piano roll frequently, accessed using E or double clicking region.
With the catch playhead bug, with all functions on (catch playhead) when scrolling the window, it auto turns it off. You don't see this?
Any chance you can share your logic prefs?
The catch playhead button does have a mind of its own. I've never quite been able to isolate what causes it to switch on when it shouldn't. Definitely buggy.
I've never really noticed number 2 before, but testing it just now I can now see the problem.
I encounter something like 3 sometimes. I have to hide and then re-activate the piano roll to fix it.
I can't reproduce 4 at the moment but can reproduce 5.

some of these probably aren't bugs as such. for example, they could have routines which dim out the notes outside the selection if they wished. or a change in graphic of notes outside the selection area so you can tell a difference in status. similarly they could ignore them for display, which would make them just not reveal themselves. this is more in line with a graphic behavior than a bug. e.g. it may be a programming choice which you personally dislike and with no access to change that behavior.
if the catch playhead is programed to have a certain behavior under certain selection conditions, that could also seem like a bug.
or it could actually be buggy behavior where it keeps switching on and off for some reason which has not been properly tracked down.

1) Working as it should here. What do you have ticked when right-clicking the Catch Playhead button?
2) When I shorten the region, the notes outside just disappear here. That's weird that you still see them. In your local View menu, do you have Selected Region or 1 Track ticked? I always have Selected Track ticked but I tried the other and it doesn't make a difference, if I shorten the region, notes outside disappear(in the Piano Roll, in the Tracks Area they become greyed out if I click the region)
3) Nope, working ok here.
4) Nope, working ok here
5) Nope, it will only make the region longer if I copy outside the region. Here anyway, but you say sometimes so you'd need to try to figure out what triggers that and what doesn't, which could be hard to troubleshoot.

Thanks for the feedback guys
@ onerob seems to be able to replicate the issues
I've been using Logic for over 15 years and noticed these bugs as they arrived - sadly when a bug appears it takes YEARS for them to fix it
I got a brand new computer, didn't load up old prefs or key commands and the issues are still there
The mute midi note undo bug has been around for ages but can deal with that, it's the damn Catch Playhead bug that annoys the hell out me jumping messing up my view while editing drums that tedious enough without this bug
All options are OFF, in every preference, simply clicking a midi note or even the background piano roll
I wish I could edit the code to remove any catch feature, i never use it, never have
Issue experienced here too

The left midi region boundary bug, doesn't affect every region, I think it depends on the bar or beat or something.
It can't be a design choice because it's inconsistent (illogical) and still audible, if it's not in the region boundary, it shouldn't be heard
It also doesn't happen on the right hand border which works as expected

Not only bugs I spot huge performance degradation, with same projects. They push to buy new Macs even my old work perfectly fine. That is price 200$ for logic. Tried other daws with same setup an every give me around 60% cpu more. I don't like Cook. He is ruined audio and everything what I liked. Will wait new CEO. Or leave apple forever if they continue with sh...
I stoped to use logic after 10.2, good luck with f Cook
Logic = Bugs ="It's User error!" (Until we fix it if we fix it)
Get off the crazy train.

'You're holding it wrong'
Seriously, people who are experiencing a loss of performance should check their DAW system closely as it seems to be pretty much the majority of people who saw performance increase on older systems with Mojave and apparently Catalina too(didn't went there yet personally). The family Macbook Air(2013 13*with 4GB ram) sure runs smoother now on Mojave than it ever did.
Maybe there's a breaking point where older systems will just run bad whatever OS is installed. No matter how much you paid for it, will come a point in time where it would be best to leave it alone and run older OSs and programs or face the fact you need to upgrade your hardware.

interesting what you guys are saying about performance cos I tested Ableton, desperate to get away from Logic and its bugs but found Ableton (on 2018 MBP) to be much more CPU heavy without a lot going. Had to do a lot of freezing to get things going again
Also take management (in arrangement view) is just non-existent requiring new tracks for each take so I soon grew very frustrated as during song writing I need to record loads of ideas down before I finally land on a melody or solo, etc..I felt like my hands were tied
Which other DAW is less buggy and provides good features/performance vs Logic, I'm eager to try it

Good luck finding one. If you do, it will come with a whole set of different bugs and issues...
