Cream cheese crescent roll danish, coco and ash, easy

I've been wanting to make Crescent Roll Cream Cheese Danishes for a while now and I'm so happy with how they turned out!! They have a sweet cream cheese center surrounded by flaky crescent roll dough and a tiny sprinkle of cinnamon that adds a hint of warmth!

These little cheese danishes are so easy to make since they use store-bought crescent roll dough! They're the perfect treat when you're in a pinch to bring a dish somewhere for serve guests. So let's jump right in…

How to make Crescent Roll Cream Cheese Danish:

See recipe card below for exact measurements.

  1. I like to make the cream cheese mixture first and set it aside. It's just cream cheese, a little bit of lemon juice, vanilla extract, and sugar. Beat all of that together and set it aside.cream cheese crescent roll danish, hand mixer, cream cheese mixture
  2. Next, open the cans of crescent roll dough and do NOT unroll them. You're just going to slice right into them and make 8 equal pieces. So easy right?! Once you put them on the baking dish, use your fingers to spread them out a little bit so you can see the layers…that's totally optional but I like the way it looks. 🙂 Cream cheese crescent roll danish, crescent roll dough, cutting crescent roll dough
  3. Melt your butter and brush each danish. This is just to help the cinnamon sugar mixture stick. Cream cheese crescent roll danish, crescent roll dough, cutting crescent roll dough, melted butter, brushing butter, danish
  4. Now the cream cheese filling needs a place to hang out so you'll want to make a little well or dent in the center of each danish. I just use the back of a measuring spoon but you could use your fingers or whatever you have on hand.Cream cheese crescent roll danish, coco and ash, easy
  5. Mix together the cinnamon and sugar and sprinkle over each danish. A lot of danish recipes have a icing drizzle on the top but I chose to make these super easy, still add a little sweetness but not have to get out more equipment to make an icing. 6. Next, get the cream cheese filling and scoop a hefty portion into each danish. I use my tablespoon and just get a heaping spoonful and it's just enough to fill each danish.cream cheese crescent roll danish, filling, unbaked, easy
  7. Now it's time to pop them in the pre-heated 350 degree oven for 15-16 minutes. You'll want to keep an eye on them towards the end to make sure they're just golden brown. Then let them cool a little and enjoy your cream cheese danishes with a nice cup of coffee or as an afternoon snack!Cream cheese crescent roll danish, coco and ash, easy

Crescent Roll Cream Cheese Danish

Prep Time 10 mins

Cook Time 15 mins

Course: Breakfast, Dessert, Snack

Cuisine: American, Danish

Servings: 16 danishes

  • 8 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/3 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 (8 ounce) packages of crescent roll dough
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees and prepare a large sheet pan with parchment paper.

  • In a small bowl, beat together the cream cheese, 1/3 cup white sugar, lemon juice, and vanilla extract. (I use an electric hand mixer but you could use a spoon if you don't have a mixer.) Set the mixture aside.

  • Open the packages of crescent roll dough and do NOT unroll them. Simply slice the roll into 8 equal pieces.

  • After slicing, place the crescent roll discs on the baking sheet and spread them out a little bit with your fingers so you can see the layers.

  • Melt the butter and brush over each danish.

  • Take the back of a spoon or your fingers and push a little well down into the center of each danish.

  • Mix together the cinnamon and sugar and sprinkle lightly over the top of the danish.

  • Fill the center of each danish with a hefty scoop of the cream cheese mixture.

  • Bake in the oven at 15-16 minutes or just until the outside of the danishes are golden brown.

  • Let cool for about 10 minutes and enjoy!

  • You can store these in the refrigerator and just pop in the microwave for a few seconds to enjoy!

If you're like me and never remember to soften your cream cheese, just pop it in the microwave for 30 seconds.
If you don't have parchment paper, you can just spray a pan with non-stick spray.
If you'd like to make these a little fancier, you can unroll each cut strip of dough, twist it, then roll it back around itself.
