Hiding loose parts in a muffin tray with Post-it's! 👋🏼 Low prep, no mess; my favourite kind of activity! This is perfect for developing Object Permanence – this means your baby understands that (you, or) an object is still there even if they can't see them. 🙈 From here, it also develops Cognitive Development, Memory, Exploration & Language Development! 🙌🏼 Typically I'd do something like this with felt & double sided tape (or velcro if you want to get crafty) for her age (8 months) instead of the Post-it's, but at the moment I don't have any, (& totally not prepared to venture out to get any! 😬) • Rory loved pulling the Post-It's off to reveal the Grapat Coins. She is still mouthing, so this was of course a supervised activity. I have shared this before, but you can subtly discourage mouthing by distraction – showing them a different way to use it. But remember that mouthing is completely normal & an important milestone in your Babies development; building oral skills; strengthening & exercises muscles in the jaw, tongue & cheeks needed for eating & speaking. Thus also fostering speech development. You could use whatever loose parts, or toys that you feel comfortable for this! Rory isn't putting the whole coin in her mouth so I'm happy to let her explore these with supervision. Don't forget to tag me if you give it a go! I'd love to see. 💕 #acraftyliving_baby
