How to Make Origami Infinity Gauntlet

Easy Origami Infinity Gauntlet from Avengers End Game

The First Infinity Gauntlet on this list is a reasonably easy Tutorial to follow along too.
Lets Breakdown each step so we can better understand the Crease Pattern of the Gauntlet.
We begin with the Square Base which is a common origami Base, and a good way for you to warm up your fingers.
At 1 minute and 32 seconds your Crease Pattern will look like this.

What you will need

  1. You will need Seven, individual 7 Inch pieces of Square Paper or Card. Not too Thin and Too Thick, as thick as a Standard Piece of A4.
  2. The First Six represent the Infinity Stones and the Seventh Piece is an Extra Piece of Paper used for support around the hand.
  3. A Ten Inch Square Piece of Paper or Card. This is for the Wrist Band that will surround the Wrist, Kind of like Wonder Woman but NOT.
  4. Your Chosen Paint. Acrylic Paint will do, any type you prefer. The Avengers Gauntlet was Golden and the Colours of the Stones are :
    • Space Stone. Blue – RGB: (38, 110, 246)
    • The Time Stone. Green – RGB: (18, 231, 114)
    • The Soul Stone. Orange – RGB: (255, 139, 0)
    • The Reality Stone. Red – RGB: (255, 1, 48)
    • The Power Stone. Purple – RGB: (228, 41, 242)
    • The Mind Stone. Yellow – RGB: (255, 211, 0)

Points to Remember, Before you begin:

The Paper or Card will be Coloured Face upwards, when you Fold the Square Base. You will need a Paper Folding Tool, maybe a Paper Bone Folder.
Enjoy the Tutorial 😉

Thanos. Infinity gauntlet out of paper and Tape

Your Fingers will sit behind the Gauntlet

As the Title says, this is Infinity Gauntlet is made entirely from Thin Card Paper, and Tape thats it. The Charming young man has a good grasp of what the Gauntlet should look like. I was impressed.

There is no place for the fingers but it Works

You'll figure out by the end of the video that the gauntlet is kind of a Prosthetic Infinity Glove. What I mean is you place your hand in the Forearm Section and the Hand of the Gauntlet is in front of your Fingers, as in the image below

What you will Need

Ordinary Paper-Craft Card
Scissors
Maybe some Glue

It's a very cool way of appearing to wear the Infinity Gauntlet without no functional use. But if all you want the Gauntlet for is to play a part of the Crazy Titan, Thanos, then you can achieve this without any fuss. You may even take this idea as a Template for your own Designs

Mad Titan Gauntlet made in Tant Paper

Okay, In the Video the Gauntlet is made with ordinary Plain Paper. But I would suggest using Tant Paper. Tant Paper has a unique Weight and feel that would suit this Origami Gauntlet much better than Coarse A4 Paper

This Tutorial is a Two Part Video. Expect to really learn a lot from this one as it goes in-deep with a few advanced Folds but on the Scale of things it is still on the Beginner Side of the Learning Curve.

Infinity Gauntlet, No Tape and No Glue

Very Easy THANOS INFINITY GAUNTLET

I watched this Video Tutorial and yes while it is very easy, I would argue that this isn't an Infinity Gauntlet. It is very Close though and with a few minor tweaks you can turn this, the Easiest Origami Gauntlet on this page, into a Gauntlet Thanos would be very Proud of!

Making some Improvements to the Gauntlet

Gloss Golden Card Stock, and Solid Fingers

I used Blender, the 3D Software, which is free and addictive, to improve upon the Gauntlet in the Tutorial. Below is a Turn Table with the revised Gauntlet.

I made some improvements to the Original. The Fingers are now one piece, instead of being tubes of paper connected by the knuckles. like in the Original Tutorial, Tissue Paper is used to make the joints of the knuckles, and the fingers are simply glued to the palm. While this is very simple, and I am a fan! It isn't something I would personally be proud of. So I made the Fingers with a Flat Base to Glue onto the Palm area. The fingers can be assembled as individual objects and stuck on as you wish, but the revolving image will give you an idea of how the Gauntlet should look.

There are no stones on this version as there are no stones on the Original, just spikes. However adding the stones can be as simple as you like. Below is the colour scheme, which is also listed at the top of this article

  • Space Stone. Blue – RGB: (38, 110, 246). The Finger next to the Index, the middle finger.
  • The Time Stone. Green – RGB: (18, 231, 114). The Thumb Stone
  • The Soul Stone. Orange – RGB: (255, 139, 0). The Little Finger
  • The Reality Stone. Red – RGB: (255, 1, 48). The finger between the Little Finger and the Middle Finger
  • The Power Stone. Purple – RGB: (228, 41, 242). The Index Finger
  • The Mind Stone. Yellow – RGB: (255, 211, 0). And lastly, the Mind Stone is on the middle of the back of the Hand

I used Gold as a Texture and you can find Card Stock online to use instead of plain Orange Card. I Googled 'Gold Cardstock' and found what I needed. As of writing this Post this is what I found on Ebay. It is in the UK, but I bet you can find the same anywhere.

The Perfect Gold Cardstock for the Infinity Gauntlet
